All funds raised from DCE's 12th Annual Soccer Tournament will assist the Property Industry Foundation's 'PIF House Program'.

The mission of the Property Industry Foundation is to make a tangible difference to the serious and persistent problem of youth homelessness.  This is achieved by partnering with respected charities to build safe environments and support charity managed initiatives focused on education, employment and wellbeing.

The Foundation’s commitment results in positive, life-changing impact on at-risk and homeless young people while achieving maximum social return on the industry’s investment.

The PIF House Program builds homes that provide a loving, safe and nurturing environment which enables the young people to rebuild their lives through education and employment whilst empowering them to transition into independent living. The young people in the home are supported by live-in carers and a therapeutic care team providing mentoring and counselling support

Case Study - Kylie & Sarah*

Kylie and Sarah were 11 and 15 years old and had never lived in a real home. They had suffered every type of abuse and had no safe place to stay. That’s why they were homeless.  On some nights, they lived at Central Station.

The Property Industry Foundation, together with Marist Youth Care, created a safe home for the girls to live and for the first time ever they had their own bedroom.

The Foundation works to offer at-risk and homeless young people, just like Kylie and Sarah, a choice and hope for the future.
